Early Child Education
A key goal of USAID’s Small Grants and Ambassador’s Fund Program is to engage with civil society and communities to increase safe access to quality education for girls. Specifically, the program reduces the barriers that prevent girls from beginning or completing their schooling, while also empowering them to advocate for their right to education. USAID supports innovative activities to achieve these goals by providing small grantsto local organizations.
Under the project 30 schools (15 each public and private) were selected from four talukas (Talhar, Badin, Tando Bago and Shaheed Fazil Rahu) of district Badin, Sindh where Early Childhood Education Centers were set up. The teachers were trained on ECE teaching techniques and the selected schools were provided with toilet facilities with handpumps. Play areas were also set up in these schools.
